What is Sensory Play?
Sensory play is simple, hands-on fun that lets kids explore, create, and just be kids! From scooping and pouring to squishing and building, our activities use things like water, sand, noodles, and more to keep little hands busy and happy.
It’s not just fun, it helps with focus, creativity, and calming big emotions.
At "Thingies", we make sure every child of all abilities has a safe, welcoming space to play, explore, and reset when needed.

Active Play
What is Active Play?
Active play is all about movement, energy, and fun! Kids can climb, balance, step, and explore in ways that help build confidence and strength, while burning off all that energy.
At "Thingies", our active play area is designed to be safe, simple, and inclusive for all abilities. Whether your child is moving big or just getting comfortable trying something new, there’s space to go at their own pace.

Calm/Reset Space
What is the Calm/Reset Area?
Our Calm/Reset area is a quiet, cozy space where children can take a break, relax, and feel safe when things get overwhelming.
With soft seating, gentle lighting, fidgets, headphones, and comforting items, this space helps children slow down, reset their emotions, and return to play when they’re ready.
At "Thingies", we understand that every child needs a moment sometimes and that’s okay.
A soft place to pause, breathe, and begin again.
